May shopping haul

Posted by Suteisi ♥ at 6:06 PM 6 comments
May 21st has come and gone. I don't know for you guys, but that day for me was pretty damn awesome!

I found a trainer for my bike for 20$ (sold 200-300$ in store) in a garage sale, had sushi, went out to hang out with my father and little bro, met friends for wings, walked downtown for the evening and had ice cream. On top of that it was super warm and sunny, finally felt like a REAL May day.

I went shopping a week or two ago. I felt the need to buy a few new pieces in hopes it would warm up outside, and it did! Hopefully it can stop raining again...

Shopping haul!!

BRIGHT yellow top with neon orange/peach and purple designs.
Totally in love with this one.

Mini jean skirt from SmartSet.
I wear it a lot with the yellow top above.
Super cute outfit~

Black dress with metallic designs on the sides.

What it looks like...
Eep. Messy room is messy :B

Grey dress with gold/silver designs. I'm pretty sure this is supposed to be a dress anyway.
But since I'm pretty tall, it's a bit too short for me, if I bend everyone sees my bum, so I've been wearing it with black leggings cut to the knees. Really like this look!
A first for me~

Key chain strap thingy.
Saves me 5 minutes from looking in my purse for my lost car keys!

Nails for May.

Until next time chickas~ Ciao!

Have you been shopping for the summer?
Get any dresses and skirts?

Judgement Day: May 21, 2011

Posted by Suteisi ♥ at 8:38 AM 4 comments

Call it whatever you want: The end of the world, Judgement day, Doom's day, The return of the Lord, etc... It is coming. TOMORROW! On Saturday, May 21st, 2011.

I read an article on this on cnn.com a month or two ago. Family Radio is a christian radio station in the United States and for a year now, a part of them have been on a caravan tour of America to deliver the message that the end of the world is coming.

On the radio this morning, Ottawa's Hot 89.9 hosts Rush, Mauler and Jenni were discussing this in between other news. Apparently now it's said that the beginning of the end will start at 6h00 pm and that it will last until October 21st. They said that we will know when the "Rapture" begins because there will be a world wide earthquake.

An article Lauri Lebo gives a ton more info with sources and quotes from some of the members of the Family radio caravan project.

Quoting from the article I linked above:

…"starting in the Pacific Rim at around the 6 p.m. local time hour, in each time zone, there will be a great earthquake, such as has never been in the history of the Earth," he says. The true Christian believers -- he hopes he's one of them -- will be "raptured": They'll fly upward to heaven. And for the rest?

"It's just the horror of horror stories," he says, "and on top of all that, there's no more salvation at that point. And then the Bible says it will be 153 days later that the entire universe and planet Earth will be destroyed forever."

I don't know for you, but I'm not a very religious person. I agree and disagree with different things from the bible, but also from other religions. I rarely ever talk of religions because it's often based on personal belief and can cause problems when having discussion (just like politics).

A friend of mine is dating a gentleman that is Muslim and he was explaining to us that for them when Judgement day comes, you are judged on what you have done in your lifetime. And while you may go to Hell, it is NOT permanent. You do your time in Hell as you would in jail here, and then you are sent to Heaven. I found that interesting, considering Christians seem to say that when you go to Hell, you can never return.

I like how this one has 2012 scratched out.

We could speak of this for quite some time. I just thought I'd share this little bit of news if you hadn't heard already. So if you feel the earth shake like never before on May 21st, you'll know you're experiencing "Judgement Day".

I have no doubt the world will end at some point. But I don't think anyone can predict such a thing. But that is just MY opinion.

I have plans to dress up and meet friends for Wings at 7h00 pm on Saturday. So unless there is a massive earthquake, you'll see me out at Wild Wings having a good time.

What do you think of this? Are you a believer? Do you think the end of the world is upon us already? Or it's coming in the next little while?

Thor: God of Thunder

Posted by Suteisi ♥ at 11:24 AM 2 comments

Thor is your typical arrogant prince. He's strong and knows it, but it's also gone up to his head a little too much. He does something stupid and is exiled to Earth by his father, the King of Asgard.

I'm a superhero fan, even though I admit not having read many comics, I used to watch the cartoons on Saturday mornings. Before this movie came out, I hadn't heard of Thor and had no idea who/what he was. What I had heard of was Chris Hemsworth, as he was Capt. J. Kirk's father in the most recent Star Trek movie. He's in the begin there for 5 minutes but I recongnized his face as soon as I saw it. So. Freaking. Handsome.

I found he played the role very well and I believed his character 100%. Though it was Anthony Hopkins that surprised and amazed me the most. We're used to seeing him as a creep in a lot of movies, this one is totally different and made me see him in a different light. I was very glad they picked him for the role, he looked like a true king.

I found the relationship between Thor and Jane Foster was boring. There was nothing there, I didn't feel any chemistry between them. Not that I was expecting much, I mean, it IS a superhero movie after all. But after seeing Tony Starks and Pepper Pots, I was a little disappointed by this.

That being said though, I liked Thor more than Iron Man. It probably has to do with the fact I like magic, alternate universes and shiny things.

So if you were on the fence about going to see this movie, go ahead, I think it's definitely worth it. If you don't like the story, well at least you will have seen Thor/Chris Hemsworth without his shirt on.

Thor will be back in The Avengers set to come out in 2012. And you can see Chris Hemsworth in his other projects too in the mean time. (I heard he'll be playing the Huntsman, in Snow White, also coming out in 2012, totally excited about that!)

Gaga goes motorcycle

I've been a fan of Gaga since her beginning. I went to her show (got tickets last minute) when she came to town in November 2009, just after The Monster Fame was released. I loved it, it was an excellent concert. I've danced to her songs countless times and still do, some of those songs even became my ringtones for certain periods of time. That being said though, I'm not a die hard fan. To me, she's not a goddess, or a leader or any of those qualifications some fans seem to be giving her. She's a great singer, an awesome performer and a shocker. That's what she does, she likes to shock. Just as Madonna did a long time ago.

A while ago Lady Gaga's second studio album cover was released.

And then came the cover of the "Deluxe Edition".

What. The. Hell.

As much as I like her and her music, I don't even know if I'll buy the album just because I find the cover so horrendous. And I'm not evene exagerating.

It's like a cheap photoshop job on low budget. Anyone with little graphic/editing knowledge can do this in their basement. I'm so disappointed Gaga. So disappointed.

Coming out on May 23rd, the "normal" edition 14 tracks including Born This Way, Judas and the recently released (this week) Edge of Glory. While the "delux" edition has 17 tracks on the first disc, and 5 remixes on the second disc.

Tracklist: (Deluxe Edition, minus remixes)

1. Marry The Night
2. Born This Way
3. Government Hooker
4. Judas
5. Americano
6. Hair
7. Scheiße
8. Bloody Mary
9. Black Jesus † Amen Fashion
10. Bad Kids
11. Fashion of His Love
12. Highway Unicorn (Road to Love)
13. Heavy Metal Lover
14. Electric Chapel
15. The Queen
16. Yoü and I
17. Edge of Glory

While I dislike the covers, I'm excited to hear the new material. I like Born This Way and have had Judas on repeat in my car for the past two weeks.

I think this is the first music video of hers that I genuinly like since Poker Face.

What do you think of Lady Gaga? What about her new album? The covers? Are you liking any of the new songs that have been playing on the radio lately? Have you been to one of her shows?

A walk in the park

Posted by Suteisi ♥ at 7:43 PM 3 comments
On the last day of April, we had a warm and sunny day. D and I decided to go out for a walk in one of the many parts of the Gatineau Park.

Due to the cold weather the trees still looked pretty naked and dead. Many of the trails were closed off because the last of the ice and snow from the hills and mountains had been melting off and flooding some areas of the park.

Still we managed to walk a good 5 km and I took a few pictures.

A few sign of Spring : Tiny white flowers among the many dead leaves.

A flooded area.

A random pile of rocks...

Have you taken a walk in the park lately?

Souvenirs de Paris

My mother traveled to Paris for a week in April and she brought me back presents!

A t-shirt. It fits perfect I really like it~

Since I traveled to Arizona in 2007, I started collecting shooter glasses from different parts of the world. She brought one back for me! :D And it's pink!!

Pink Eiffel tower with bling bling!

A pocket mirror, with a pink cover of course!

Key chain with LED light inside. She said there were no pink ones so she got me red :3

Lasty, a scarf with light prints of the Eiffel Tower and "Paris" all over.

I totally love them all and am sooo happy!
And also feel very lucky she brought back so much just for me~

Has anyone brought you souvenirs back from another country?

April update

Posted by Suteisi ♥ at 4:09 PM 6 comments
Lazy April was lazy!

Apparently this year's April for us out here in Ottawa was the coldest April in 75 years! I remember just a few warmer days with sunshine, but most of it was rain and cold winds. How boring. Thus why it was a lazy month.

Lazy-bored kitty :B

My nails for April.

With new nailist I mentioned a while ago.
She's fantastic! Definitely sticking with her for a while~

While being bored I practice with the new eyeshadow.
So much glitter this stuff gets EVERYWHERE. But I love it!
I think I'm on the verge of mastering blending two colors~

And of course there was Easter with lots of chocolates!

How was your month of April?
Shopped a lot to get rid of the boredom??
