All that glitters
You probably haven't noticed but other than commenting on a few blogs here and there I've been pretty non-existent in around blogger. Since November I haven't been blogging even though I have wanted to. Just too many things to do in so little time!
Slowly but surely I've been working at becoming a good nail tech, mostly in sculpting nails the past week or two and setting up my work station at home.
The new IKEA store just opened its doors in Ottawa on December 7th and I couldn't have been more excited! We had an IKEA before, but it was kinda cramped and crowded all the time, so they built a new one, a better one, a BIGGER one. It's apparently the biggest in Canada now. I was there on December 9th to pick up a desk, a book shelf and two chairs. YAY SALES!
But this is not a post on IKEA, it's a post on my nail tech work station. I'm so proud and excited, it's really hard to hide it when I speak of it to others. I get giggly like a 5 year old that just got her new barbie on Christmas.
Anyway. Enough blah blah. PICS!
The work station: desk, pink chair for the nail tech, white chair for the client. A book shelf for storage in the background, it's the perfect size. The desk and book shelf came together as a set, 70$! Eep! So happy~

January Update
Happy Chinese New Year! Happy Birthday Oprah! Happy Birthday Mom!
Seems like February 3rd is a very busy day! I hope everyone's doing good!
Nothing very special has been going on around here. Other than a "massive" snow storm yesterday (Feb 2nd). The roads were pretty bad, I was scared to drive, and I had to shovel 3 feet of snow in my driveway. Awesomeness! While at a red light (YES! A red light, I wasn't driving, I assure you), I took this yesterday morning on my way to work.

My set of nails for January~
The tiny deco in my car.The nails were inspired by the Joshua Perets shirt I was wearing that day. Blue and silver. The deco hanging from my rear view mirror is a necklace I bought in Japan, with Hamasaki Ayumi's logo. And a strap my mother bought for me when we were in Hakone, on our way to Mt. Fuji. It's a rabbit n___n To celebrate the New Year, year of the rabbit, also my chinese zodiac sign, and bring good luck, I decided to hang it there.

It's Christmas time!
Hello everybody~
It's here, it's officially here! Christmas time, that is!
My mother and I decorated around the house a little over the weekend and we got a huge load of snow fall from last night all through this morning. Do you enjoy the snow? I like the month of December, and I like a white Christmas, but generally when the end of January and beginning of February rolls in, I'm so fed up I just wish all of it would disappear! But we all know that's now how it works... Out here we usually have snow until March and sometimes April. After that it warms up. Thank goodness.
So anyway, here are some pictures of the Christmas deco around my house~

My little tree! It's fiber optic at the tip of the branches. Changes colors, very pretty!
My mother buys a new ornament every year. This is this year's. Cute right? A polar bear running! XD

Room deco
When I got back from holidays I saw a flier with back to school room decoration. I'm done school, but a lot of the things they had were bright colors, and that's what I enjoy the most. If it was just for me, I would have spend thousands of dollars at the store, but I kept myself under check. I bought two organizers for my closet (they didn't have pink ones in store, so they ordered them for me, I haven't received them yet) and I bought NEW BLANKETS!
When I moved into this house, I decorated all of my room by myself. My mother helped with painting and she sewed the curtains for me, but that's all. As I mentioned before my favorite color combination is pink and orange, it always cheers me up, so that's the theme for my bedroom.
I won't be posting pictures of my entire room today because there are still a few things I want to improve, but to show my new bed set, I took pictures of my bed area.
This is what it looked like BEFORE:
I bought this bed set right before we moved into this house. You can flip the pillows and blanket over, one side is pink, one side is orange with flowers all over. I really loved it for the longest time, but when I saw these new ones in the flier, I wanted a change!
It's ROXY. Ironically enough, the same brand that's sold at BoatHouse (one of my favorite store, see below), and it's the same brand I bought my bikini from!
So, this is what it looks like AFTER:
(I need to re-arrange my shelves, haha, you can tell they're a bit... overloaded?)
It's a really nice change, I love it. It makes the room seem lighter and my bed looks bigger too. It's super comfy and soft!
I added my mamegomas that I bought in Tokyo n_____n
The white at the end of the bed is my couch. I've got a white love seat hanging there. I really like it. I'll show pictures of my whole room once I'm satisfied with the little changes I want to make.

DS Deco
When I was in Tokyo last year (October 2009), I bought a lot of things to decorate my various gadgets. Just recently I got around to it. (Yes I know, sheesh 6 months later, so slow!)
I decided for my FIRST EVER deco, to decorate my Nintendo DS Lite.
I'm not sure if it's done yet or not, but so far I like the design.
I was planning on decorating ALL of the front, but then I started missing gems... so I stopped here for now.
If I can get some more pink gems, just basic ones, I think that's what I'll use to fill in the blank sides.
And here's the rest of the deco stuff I bought in Japan, that I haven't used yet.
The Hello Kitty is my favorite, I think n_____n
