Sephora X Collabs

Posted by Suteisi ♥ at 3:59 PM 4 comments
I'm not out at Sephora very often because it's located downtown and I really dislike going downtown, so when I traveled to Carrefour Laval, my 1st stop was the make-up store.

I love all the collaborations they have going on. Especially 2 of which I took pictures of.

First collab: Hello Kitty

I spoke of this one twice on Gossip Candy, and the merchandise looks even better than I thought it would! If only it wasn't so expensive I would have bought the whole collection.

Look at all the cute bottles! X3

I was going to settle for a bottle of polish but the shade (pastel pink) that I wanted was sold out :(

Second collab: Toki Doki

Toki Doki was created by an italian artist, yet I think it represents well what some of your typical japanese mascots look like.

Eye shadows... All of their packages are super cute!

Everything you see here can be found on the Sephora website and most likely at your local store... unless it's sold out of course! Do you prefer Hello Kitty or Toki Doki?

(All of the pictures were taken by me, on my own time. I'm not paid to advertise any of these brands. I just really enjoy them, so I choose to share them with you guys. Hope you like! Suggestions for future products are welcome~)

Butterfly exhibition

Posted by Suteisi ♥ at 3:34 PM 1 comments
On the 1st week of October every year, the Carleton University in Ottawa hosts a butterfly exhibition. They receive cocoons from many countries all around the world and get around 1,300 different kinds of butterflies. All of them are kept in the humidity of their green house.

Until this year I had never heard of this butterfly exhibition but I was immediately intrigued. Not only was it free but it was open on weekends and the advertisement said that if you wore a brightly colored shirt that the butterflies might come down to rest on you. And did I mention it's free?

I invited one of my girl friends for breakfast along with D. and my mother, after our feast we headed out there around lunch time. On
October 8th, I was wearing shorts and a tank top!! I don't remember EVER having such a good day in October. Usually the weather out here is miserably cold and rainy.

(There is watermark because these are all pictures I took myself, with my camera, on my time and edited to fix the size. If you wish to use these, please ask for permission and leave the watermark on. Thank you very much~)

We waited in line about 30 minutes to get in, but we chatted and the weather was fantastic so it went by really quickly. I was super excited by the time we got inside!

Inching inside the green house...

Ready set... GO BUTTERFLIES!

I totally fell in love with these pink flowers! I must have taken 15 pictures of them alone. I'd have them all over my bedroom if I could. So pretty!!

Mom's hand... this butterfly landed on her out of no where!

These kids and there mom's had orange slices, which the butterflies really seemed to love. The blue winged butterfly is blue only on the inside, the outside of its wings were brown with creepy circle like eyes. This is one of my favorite pictures.

This one landed on my mom's leg, so it was hard to see. But the inside of its wings were bright red!

That's it!! Enough butterfly pictures for you?

Have you ever been to a butterfly exhibition? Which one of these is your favorite?

App: Fashion games

Posted by Suteisi ♥ at 4:17 PM 3 comments
A post on iPhone/iPoud touch/iPad game apps that are fashion related! You like fashion, I like fashion, we like fashion, let's go!

(Note: All these are simulation games, unless you have magical powers or are very rich, it is very unlikely that your life is like these in the game. Please spend responsibility *aka. Don't become a shopaholic and blame it on me! ~ Also I'm not paid for this article. I just like these silly games very much!)

1st App: Top Girl

In top girl you're a young aspiring model! You have to work jobs for an agency, while working jobs you earn coins.

With coins you can buy "day" clothes and "night clothes". Day clothes you wear while working, you must have a certain amount of "day appropriate points". Night clothes you were for clubbing, you must have a certain amount of "hotness points" in order to enter the different steps of each career, modeling and clubbing levels.

And what do you go to the club for other than picking up guys?!!

There are 3 types of guys, all 3 give a different bonus when you are dating them. 1 gives more coins while working, 1 gives more clothes points and the last gives you more energy (fills up you coffee/energy bar faster - you need the energy to work! Once you have spent all your energy on working, you must wait for it to come back up to work again).

When dating your boyfriend, you can flirt and kiss him. After 10 kisses he gives you a gift, but there is a time lock of 90 minutes between each kiss. As you unlock levels through out the game, you can get more items (more day/night points clothes, better paying jobs, manlier boyfriends with better bonuses) and travel to other cities.

Needless to say, this sounds really silly but Top Girl is not a top rated and played game on iTunes. I like it a lot!

Next...

2nd App: Fashion World

Fashion World is pretty much like Top Girl, but a simpler version, oriented more towards younger girls. I don't know for you, but I don't think I would want my 5 year old daughter to be playing Top Girl.

Just like in Top Girl, you have to work jobs to earn coins. With coins you can buy clothes, again, day and night clothes. You unlock new job levels by buying clothes, so your closet size will determine when you can move on to another job. You can buy tickets to enter modeling contests as well. So the night clothes are for modeling contests not to pick up guys (in Top Girl you use your nights clothes for BOTH runaway contest and getting a boyfriend).

The only difference with Top Girl is that there are no boyfriends and you've got to admit, the graphics are WAY more attractive. Vibrant colors, cute characters and WAY better looking clothes.

I like Fashion World better than Top Girl only because it LOOKS better to me. I know everyone says "Don't judge a book by it's cover" but I do anyway, for books, games, everything. Eep, sorry!

Last but not least...

3rd App: World of Fashion

If you've heard of, or have been playing the very popular "Fashion Story" well World of Fashion won't be anything new to you, except I personally think it's a BETTER version of Fashion Story.

In World of Fashion you get to manage your own boutique! Decide of the decor and order clothes to be displayed and sold in your very own store. So yeah, pretty much exactly the same as Fashion Story, but I prefer World of Fashion because I like the design options and the clothes better. Also, unlike Fashion Story, there isn't a damn advertisement popping in your face every 2 minutes!!

Tribute to Lady Gaga, anyone?

How do you feel about such game apps?

Had you heard of these game apps before? Do you play any of these? If you hadn't heard of them, think you will give them a look now?

Forever 21

Posted by Suteisi ♥ at 8:46 PM 8 comments
On the 1st weekend of October, my mother and I traveled 2 hours to shop at this huge mall called Carrefour Laval. I'd been there once over the summer and hadn't managed to do all the stores during the short stop, so I really wanted to go back.

One shop I hadn't had the chance to go to on my first visit was
Forever 21. I'd heard many things about this store but since there aren't any out here, I had never been to one.

I just got one thing to say:

IT'S LIKE MY BRAIN EXPLODED WITH AWESOMENESS!

Forever 21 has officially become my "go to" store for gyaru/gal inspired clothing.

The place reminded me of Japan so much!!

In the mist of running all over the place and being overly excited, I took a few pictures.
In NO WAY these pictures give Forever 21 its true justice. 2 floors with million possibilities of clothes coordinates!!

I ended up not buying any clothes, because I knew if I started trying stuff on, I would have spent over 200$ in that store alone. So instead, I contented myself with some make-up related goods. SO CHEAP! SO AWESOME! SO GIRLY!! Totally me. I'm in love, it's official.

This is what I purchased...

Yes. 2 sets of brushes.

And no, I haven't used them yet. They're so pretty I don't want to dirty them!

My very 1st pair of false lashes!!!

I'll be reviewing these once I have an occasion to wear them. Gotta make it special!!

Have you ever been to Forever 21?
